Student Council

Our Student Council is one aspect of the student voice of our school. Each year group has a year council with two students elected from each form in that year group. From the Year Councils two students are then put forward for the full school.

Each half-term the Councils debates and discusses issues which are important to students. It makes recommendations to the Headteacher around school issues such as; school improvement, teaching and learning, rewards and whole school policies.

In the past our Student Council have contributed to the re-design of the dining hall and student toilets, the school’s uniform and jewellery policy.

Through extensive on-line questionnaires students have recently been consulted over their learning and teaching and well-being.
