We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic curriculum area leader for our highly successful and well-resourced English department. We are looking for a candidate who is ambitious and creative, an effective classroom practitioner who aspires to develop their leadership skills further within a supportive, forward thinking department. This is an exciting opportunity to take your career to the next level and we would be happy to receive applications from existing leaders in English, or those looking for their first role in leading a department. Outstanding support would be provided to ensure this person can develop into the role.

English is one of the school’s strongest departments and in 2017 achieved outcomes in the top 3% nationally with a Progress 8 score of +0.81.  The department is at the forefront of developing Learning & Teaching within the school and across our local network of schools. The successful candidate will be expected to promote and shape the team’s drive, ambition and reflective practice.
