World Book Day - Friday 8 March 2024

We have lots of exciting activities and competitions taking place in school for World Book Day!

Here are some of the book-tastic things students can get involved in:

Short Story Competition

Write a 500-word story featuring your favourite literary character or characters.

Deadline: 9.00am on Friday 8 March 2024

Design a Bookmark Competition

Design a bookmark inspired by your favourite book, character, genre, author or book series.

Deadline: 3.05pm Friday 8 March 2024

Poetry Slam

Write and perform at our poetry slam - you can take part individually or as a group, and your poem/slam can be in any style on any subject.

Performances will take place on Friday 8 March at lunchtime in the Library.

Fancy Dress Fundraiser

Students in Years 7 to 10 are encouraged to dress as their favourite animal character from literature for a donation of £1 on Friday 8 March.

Hedwig, the Gruffalo, the Fantastic Mr Fox, Iorek Byrnison or one of the 101 Dalmatians - who will you be? All money raised will be donated to the RSPCA.

World Book Day Vouchers

World Book Day vouchers have been given out to students in form time and are also available in the Library.

Vouchers can be used to buy one of the special £1 World Book Day books or as £1 off any book or audiobook with an RRP £2.99 or above.
